College graduate


Hey Everyone

Yesterday, (thursday May 31st 2007) I walked across the stage for my graduation. It felt really good. I invited many members of my family and my closests friends.

At first, I was running a little late, and I was nervous, because I had to do my own makeup due to procrastination on my part, and the fact that I am mixing all my friends with my dad and other members of my family. I had to make sure everyone got along. At least that is what I felt I had to do.

So, I walk across the stage after the economics department names have been called (my major). Then I snuck out. The ceremony was huge and long, and my father bought a video of it anyways.. so I found my homeboy and made my way to my family.

We all made our ways down to the resturaunt. I reserved a private room. I was in a good mood, but needed a good shower before dinner.. shit it was hot and that robe is all black. So after that, I finally made it to the dinner, and it was really nice.

I was nervous again, because a lot of my so called friends were dropping like flies when it came to the dinner. I mean who was suppose to help me pay for this. Thank God my Nana and my Dad split it.. (dinner was 1000 uugh)

I got hooked up pretty nice. My mother even gave me gifts. I am like just give me my money you owe me, but thats another story. My godfather was there... my best friends and my best guy friends. My three brothers, my two baby sisters, my sisters old friend from high school and my friend as well, in addition to my boyfriend, nana and my father and his wife. Whoooo that was a lot of people. My boyfriend got along great with the rest of my family. I get so turned on by him getting along with folks. Most EVERY other dude I EVER dated has been a complete jerk to my fam, but my man... he came and sat with them and bought my flowers and balloons.. ahh I love that man.

So anyways, I took pictures and pictures.. but NOT with my cam.. With everyone else's so its going to take a while to post them. Dinner was great, and I made away like a bandit. Now, for the thank you cards, and applying to grad school.

On a side note.. I just feel so good right now. I just thought of all the people trying to ruin my day... but man I am recieving something that NONE of them were even close to my in their lives. I worked DAMN hard to get this degree... with NO breaks. It was a hard, lonely, tough road, but I made it. So all these people in the way were lessons. Lessons from God, and I thank him for all those people who tried so hard to bring me down, because it only made me stronger.
